At the World Championship held in Croatia in 2025, he won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 70 kilograms.
Thanks to his successful performance at this tournament, Akmataliev earned enough points to rise to the third spot in the UWW world ranking.
At the end of February, the wrestler plans to participate in a ranking tournament in Albania.
