The Kyrgyzstan national team returned from Moscow with medals in army hand-to-hand combat

The national team of Kyrgyzstan in army hand-to-hand combat successfully returned home from Moscow, as reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic. At Manas Airport, the athletes were greeted by Emil Zayarko, the director of the Directorate for Non-Olympic Sports, as well as their colleagues and relatives.

From November 6 to 10, the team participated in the I International Tournament in Army Hand-to-Hand Combat "Cup of Victory," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, where they took second place in the team standings.

About 100 athletes from 21 countries competed in the tournament. Kyrgyz athletes won two silver and two bronze medals.

Among the silver medalists are:

Talasbek Mukhtarov (up to 65 kg) from the special forces unit "Panther";

Olzhobay Kurbanbekov (up to 80 kg) from the SKA team of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As for the bronze medals, they were awarded to:

Islam NazarMukhamedov (up to 65 kg) from Karakol, Issyk-Kul region;

Bayastan Omurzakov (up to 60 kg) - a cadet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy.

It is also worth noting that cadet Medet Kamchybekov from the Military Institute took fourth place in the up to 70 kg category.

In the team standings, the first place went to the national team of the Russian Federation, and the third place was taken by the team of Kazakhstan.
