On December 6, the birthday of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov met with Nenad Lalovic, the head of United World Wrestling, and Mohammed Al-Awamleh, the head of United World Wrestling Asia. This was reported by the press service of the president.
During the meeting, Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of their work for the development of sports wrestling and expressed confidence that under their leadership, this sport will continue to rapidly develop worldwide.
Famous names such as Akjol Mahmudov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov, Ernazar Akmataliev, Aisuluu Tynybekova, Meerim Jumanaazarova, and Aiperi Medet kyzy today inspire admiration not only in Kyrgyzstan but also among wrestling fans around the world.

The president reminded that five out of six medals won by Kyrgyzstan at the Olympic Games in Paris are in wrestling, which serves as a solid foundation for future sporting events, including the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
He also emphasized the importance of sports as one of the key areas of state policy.
Modern sports facilities are actively being built in the country, academies are opening, and convenient conditions are being created for both mass and professional sports.
Sadyr Japarov expressed hope that with the support of UWW, Kyrgyzstan will be able to host world wrestling championships.
In turn, Nenad Lalovic noted the government's efforts to popularize sports, especially wrestling. He pointed out that more and more Kyrgyz athletes are showing excellent results, which draws attention to their achievements.
Lalovic also emphasized the importance of work on developing sports infrastructure and preparing Kyrgyzstan for the World Nomad Games, where various types of wrestling will be represented.
Mohammed Al-Awamleh thanked for the warm reception of the UWW delegation and emphasized that the active development of sports in Kyrgyzstan is yielding significant results, strengthening the country's international position.
At the end of the meeting, President Sadyr Japarov awarded the leaders of United World Wrestling: Nenad Lalovic received the "Dostuk" order, while Mohammed Al-Awamleh was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic for his significant contribution to the development of wrestling in Kyrgyzstan and raising its status on the world stage. In response, Nenad Lalovic presented Sadyr Japarov with the UWW order.
