In the women's category of Olympic sports, Aiperi Medet kyzy was recognized as the best athlete, as she was the only Kyrgyz woman to finish the year ranked first in the world ranking of United World Wrestling (UWW) as a leader.
This year, the athlete participated in five tournaments, where she managed to win five medals. She became the champion of Asia in Jordan and won at the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Aiperi secured second place at the World Championship in Serbia and in the ranking tournament in Albania, as well as winning a bronze medal at the international tournament in Hungary.
Other athletes nominated included Meirim Jumanaazanova and Gulnur Tashtanbekova (wrestling), Ainuska Kalil kyzy (athletics), and Angelina Blindul (triathlon).
The best male athlete was recognized as boxer Omar Livaza.
