Among women in Olympic sports, the highest honor went to Aiperi Medet kyzy, who finished the year ranked first in the world by United World Wrestling (UWW), becoming the only representative of Kyrgyzstan with such an achievement.
At just 26 years old, Aiperi participated in five tournaments, winning five medals. She claimed victory at the Asian Championship in Jordan and at the Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia. She also has silver medals from the World Championship held in Serbia and a ranking tournament in Albania, as well as a bronze from an international tournament that took place in Hungary.
In the same category, Meerim Jumaanazanova and Gulnur Tashtanbekova (wrestling), Ainuska Kalil kyzy (athletics), and Angelina Blindul (triathlon) were also recognized.
The best male athlete of the year was recognized as boxer Omar Livaza.
