The solemn ceremony dedicated to sending the national team of Kyrgyzstan to the Asian Youth Para Games, which will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was held in Bishkek.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Edil Baisalov, who emphasized the importance of victory and urged the participants to demonstrate a worthy level in the upcoming competitions.
Baisalov noted that the confidence and resilience of the athletes serve as an example for the younger generation.
The Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, added that every effort of the team will be reflected in the sports history of the country.
As part of the event, the captain of the team, para powerlifter Azizbek Narbaev, received the state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Asian Youth Para Games are scheduled to take place from December 7 to 14. The delegation of Kyrgyzstan will consist of 40 people, including 20 athletes and 10 coaches, as well as other participants. Athletes will compete in eight sports: swimming, taekwondo, athletics, table tennis, powerlifting, goalball, arm wrestling, and boccia.
