Edil Baisalov, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister, expressed his concern regarding the increase in anti-Chinese sentiments in Kyrgyzstan. He reported this through his social media accounts.

According to him, there are attempts in the public space to incite hatred based on isolated everyday incidents, which creates unfounded anti-Chinese sentiments.

Furthermore, he noted that some political groups are trying to use this topic for their campaigning purposes.

Baisalov urged both citizens and government members not to succumb to provocations, emphasizing that the course towards economic development set by the head of state must remain stable.

He stressed that such provocations could undermine the country's stability and negatively impact its international reputation. In this regard, he called on law enforcement agencies to actively suppress any attempts to incite hatred on an anti-Chinese basis.

The Deputy Prime Minister also cited the example of Pakistan, where anti-Chinese rhetoric led to a reduction in investments from China and slowed down economic progress.

Baisalov added that Kyrgyzstan aims to deepen cooperation with China, including in the field of tourism. He reminded that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have already implemented a visa-free regime for citizens of the PRC, which has given them certain advantages.

In conclusion of his address, the official called on society to be responsible regarding information manipulation and to clarify the goals of state policy in the context of cooperation with China.
