
In Bishkek, at the Kaba Uulu Kozhomkul Sports Palace, the sixth City Volleyball Championship has started, which will take place from March 4 to 8. Leading volleyball teams from the capital are participating in the competition.
At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Mayor of the capital Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Tagaev, the President of the Volleyball Federation Elmurza Satybaldiev, and the Director of the City Sports Department Kanatbek Mamatov were present. In his speech, the vice-mayor emphasized the importance of supporting the development of volleyball and noted the readiness of the city authorities to continue supporting sports initiatives.
In the men's tournament, the teams "VV MVD", "SKA MO", "Salam Alik" SI, and "Sary-Ozon" are competing for the title. The women's teams vying for the championship title include "Bishkek", "Salam Alik", SDYUSHOR, and "Macron KG". The event is organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Bishkek Mayor's Office and the City Volleyball Federation. According to the results of the championship, the winners will receive trophies, medals, diplomas, and valuable gifts.
