The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup competitions took place from December 20 to 25 in the capital, Male, with the participation of four teams.
Under the guidance of coaches Ulanbek Kurstanbek uulu and Nurgiza Masimova, the Kyrgyzstani team played five matches, winning four of them, which allowed them to secure gold medals.
This tournament featured adult teams; however, the Kyrgyzstan national team included players who had previously participated in the youth zonal championship of Asia in Sri Lanka for athletes under 19 years old at the beginning of November.
The team consists of 14 volleyball players — 11 schoolgirls, one college student, and two university students. The average age of the players is 16.5 years.
