The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup took place from December 21 to 25 in the capital, Male, and gathered four teams.
In the group stage, the participants played in a round-robin format. The Kyrgyz team started the competition with two confident victories over the teams of Afghanistan and Bangladesh, winning with a score of 3:0. However, in their third match, they faced the tournament hosts, the Maldives, and suffered a defeat with a score of 1:3.
As a result of the group stage, the Kyrgyz team finished in second place and fought against Afghanistan in the semifinals.
The semifinal match ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Kyrgyz women, allowing them to advance to the final, where they met the Maldives team again.
The final match, held on December 25, started poorly for the Kyrgyz team, who lost the first set. However, they managed to turn the tide of the match and won the next three sets in a row.
The final score was 3:1 in favor of the Kyrgyzstan team, making them the winners of the tournament.
