In Bishkek, the 70th anniversary of composer Muratbek Begaliev was celebrated

Yesterday, December 6, a solemn event was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Muratbek Begaliev — an outstanding composer, People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, and laureate of the Toktogul State Prize. According to the Ministry of Culture, among the honored guests were the Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev, as well as representatives of culture, art, and foreign guests.

The minister expressed gratitude for Muratbek Akimovich's significant contribution to the development of the musical art of the country and his dedication to the cause. He emphasized that the composer, who dedicated his life to music, played a key role in promoting Kyrgyz culture on the international stage. Among his well-known works are "The Last Day of Pompeii," "Melodies of Childhood," "Festive Overture," "Manas Sonata," and "Kyrgyz Suite," which have been performed on national and international stages for many years.

It was also noted that Muratbek Akimovich was awarded the Order of "Manas" III degree for his significant contribution to domestic culture. Starting from September 2024, he will hold the position of head of the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev.
