Kongurbaev Nurdamir Ashimovich
Painter. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on March 5, 1940, in Frunze. In 1971, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin.
He strives to address unconventional artistic and formal challenges for Kyrgyz art. He creates genre paintings, landscapes, and portraits. In landscapes, he focuses on the emotional expressiveness of color and plastic relationships, as well as the beauty of the painted surface. In narrative paintings, he develops themes of labor, everyday life, childhood, and youth. Kongurbaev's painting is dense, rich, and harmonized in color, which reflects his professional culture and interest in contemporary life.
Since 1976, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He is a participant in republican and international exhibitions. His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, in museums of the CIS, and in private collections.
