Flekmán David Naftulovich
(1914-2003)Painter. Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR. Born in 1914 in the city of Ananyev, Odessa region. In 1940, he graduated from the Odessa Art School and enrolled in the Kyiv Art Institute, but his studies were interrupted by the war. He taught at the Kyrgyz State Art School named after S. A. Chuykov until the end of his life.
Since 1946 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He expressed himself most vividly in the genres of thematic painting and portraiture, conveying the characteristic features of his time, the connection between social events and human destinies. He participated in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions. His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev; in museums of the CIS and private collections in both near and far abroad.
Awarded medals for "Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945," "For Labor Distinction," "30 Years of Victory over Fascist Germany," and certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.
