Despite their efforts, the worsening weather conditions have caused heavy trucks to be unable to cross the pass, leading to a traffic jam on the road.
Currently, road services continue their work aimed at improving the situation.
According to Kyrgyz Hydrometeorology, today, December 20, during the night, snowfall is expected in some areas of the Batken, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn regions, as well as in the mountainous areas of the Chui, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions, while no precipitation is anticipated in the Talas region and the agricultural zones of the Chui, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions.
During the day, most areas of the Chui, Talas, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken, and Naryn regions are expected to experience snowfall, with intense rain in some places. Snow drifts and icy conditions are observed on the roads, with fog in some areas, and the wind will blow from the west at a speed of 4-9 m/s.
