Traffic jams have formed at the Too-Ashuu pass after restrictions on freight transport were lifted. This was reported by the press service of the Road Safety Department (RSD) of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, as conveyed by a Turmush correspondent.

As clarified by the department, the deterioration of weather conditions on the Bishkek–Osh highway, particularly fog and snowfall, was the reason for the introduction of restrictions on heavy trucks at the "Sosnovka" checkpoint. These measures were lifted around 12:30, which led to the resumption of traffic but also to the formation of traffic jams on the road.

The Road Safety Department urges drivers to adhere to traffic rules, avoid driving in the opposite lane, and not create additional congestion. It is also recommended to install winter tires.

To mitigate the effects of the bad weather, road services are actively working to clear the highways.

RSD employees continue to monitor the Bishkek–Osh highway, ensuring traffic safety.
