In Kazakhstan, the construction of a sodium cyanide production plant for export to Kyrgyzstan and several other countries has begun.

- In the Shusky district, on the territory of the special economic zone Jibek Joly, the construction of a plant has begun, which will produce 25 thousand tons of sodium cyanide per year. The project is being implemented by the company LLP Altynalmas Reagents, and its total cost is 68 billion tenge, according to information from Kazakhstani media.

The produced product will be used in Kazakhstan's gold mining industry and exported to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia.

The plant is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2027, and about 250 jobs will be created, of which 96% will be occupied by citizens of Kazakhstan.

Ualikhan Atageldiev, the general director of LLP Altynalmas Reagents, noted that training and advanced training courses will be organized to prepare specialists.

The project was initially presented in 2023 with plans to launch it in 2025.
