- Work has begun on the modernization of the Kydyralysky irrigation canal in the Manas district, where a modern concrete surface will be laid. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the information from the ministry, the project is being implemented as part of a nationwide program covering 40 districts, with each district allocated 10,000 square meters of concrete surface. The length of the Kydyralysky canal is 18 km.

As reported by the district administration, this canal provides irrigation for 7,740 hectares of agricultural land. After the concrete surface is laid, there will be an opportunity to additionally supply up to 2 cubic meters of water to the farms in need. The total investment cost for this project is approximately 200 million soms.

Experts note that an innovative technology is being used for the laying, which includes geomembrane, geotextile, and cement, ensuring a service life of 60–70 years.

“The main goal of this project is to modernize the irrigation infrastructure, reduce water losses, and increase crop yields in the area,” the message emphasizes.
