The event featured 150 companies and over 1,000 business participants from Kyrgyzstan, as well as from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Turkey, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Mongolia, and other countries. The Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Avazbek Kerimbaev, noted in an interview with vb.kg that the scale of this exhibition has no precedent in the country's history.
Visiting the exhibition, which was held in the vast area of the new small sports arena named after Dolon Omurzakov, one cannot help but feel pride for the country and its hardworking citizens. Here, products can confidently be labeled "Made in Kyrgyzstan." The "Kyrgyz EXPO 2025" has reached a new level and has become an important event of the year, providing a platform for interaction among representatives from different industries.
Avazbek Kerimbaev emphasized that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes EXPO exhibitions annually, but this one is significantly different in scale, number of participants, and visitors. He noted that the growing interest of foreign investors in the exhibition indicates the production and export potential of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the opportunities that are opening up for local entrepreneurs.
The exhibition showcased products from various regions, including Batken, Osh, and Naryn regions, where, according to Kerimbaev, significant economic resources are concentrated.
At "Kyrgyz EXPO 2025," both major players and new companies from various sectors were represented — construction, logistics, information technology, heavy and light industry, banking, tourism, energy, and agriculture. Notably, representatives from foreign companies attended the exhibition, confirming the growing international interest in Kyrgyzstan. For example, specialists from the Republic of Korea brought unique projects such as "smart" roads and traffic lights, which are relevant for our country. Kerimbaev noted that the organizers' task is to create conditions for the most effective conclusion of business agreements.
Does "Kyrgyz EXPO 2025" foresee the signing of contracts between participants, and are previous agreements still in effect?
Kerimbaev responded that various topics are actively discussed during the exhibition. Recently, investment funds and development funds established in Kyrgyzstan presented their ideas, explaining how entrepreneurs can obtain investments instead of loans. The main goal of these funds is to support local businessmen.
It is also planned to sign an agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tsinghua University in Beijing to create a training center. Chinese investors will assist in training highly qualified specialists needed in the economy.
As for previously signed agreements, they are being successfully implemented. For example, Chinese investors are actively engaged in construction in Bishkek and are investing in the country's economy.
Entrepreneurs noted the high level of the exhibition's organization and that their expectations were almost fully met.
