There are now 22 banks in Kyrgyzstan
Today, the National Bank announced the issuance of a license to JSC ‘Berekett Bank’ for conducting banking operations. According to information on the regulator's website, the license was granted by the Board's decision on December 3, 2025, allowing the bank to commence operations in both national and foreign currencies.
It is worth noting that the new bank is managed by Zharkynbek Sagyndykov, who previously held the position of head of ‘Bai-Tushum Bank’.
Earlier, the National Bank had already granted permission for the establishment of this financial organization: the corresponding decision was made on October 10, and ten days later, on October 20, the bank was registered with the Ministry of Justice.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Justice, among the founders of ‘Berekett Bank’ are:
• Nurdöölöt Nurgojayev — the youngest son of the president;
• Marat Sultanov — former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh.
