Last week, the United States announced the successful completion of a number of commercial deals involving companies from both countries, which is expected to create thousands of jobs in the U.S. and provide a significant boost to the economy.
Among them is an agreement for the construction and design of railroads, concluded between All American Rail Group and the national railway company of Kyrgyzstan. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between Citi and Aiyl Bank (Kyrgyz Republic).[b]
- The financial services contract with Oppenheimer includes the issuance of five-year unsecured bonds worth $300 million for Aiyl Bank.
- Additionally, significant progress has been made between the United States and the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the conclusion of an Open Skies Agreement, which will facilitate the development of international air transportation and expand the presence of American airlines in Central Asia.
