In Kyrgyzstan, the digital transformation of the fishing industry has begun. The Department of the Fishery Complex under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry is implementing new information platforms aimed at simplifying operations for entrepreneurs and increasing market transparency. One of the main innovations is the "Information System for the Traceability of Fish and Fish Products." This system will allow tracking the entire journey of the product in digital format, starting from the incubation of imported caviar and ending with the finished products prepared for export. This measure not only ensures compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards but also contributes to increasing the export potential of Kyrgyz fish in international markets.
Additionally, for fishing enthusiasts, the "Electronic Fishing License" system is already operational. Now, obtaining a permit for sport and recreational fishing can be done in just a few clicks through the official website of the ministry or the MegaPay mobile application, using QR payments from any bank. This innovation eliminates the need to visit government institutions and complete paper documentation.
Furthermore, an automated information system called the "Unified Electronic Register of Fishery Water Bodies and Entities" is being put into operation. With this system, fish farming farmers can remotely receive government services. For instance, the option to submit an online application for a fish farming passport and biological justification for fish breeding is already available. The department notes that large-scale digitalization of the industry will create equal and transparent conditions for all market participants and ensure systematic growth of the fishery sector in the country.
