An intelligent fish traceability system is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan

Conditions are being created in Kyrgyzstan for the sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture, which will also attract investments in this sector.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, a comprehensive system is gradually being introduced in the country that will allow for the identification and tracking of fish and fish products at all stages—from eggs to finished products.

The project is being implemented by the Veterinary Service for the Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed as part of the initiative "Enhancing the Safety of Animal-Origin Food through the Creation of a Comprehensive Intelligent System for the Identification and Tracking of Animals in the Kyrgyz Republic," funded by the government of Korea. The expected completion date for the project is 2026.
