In Bishkek, despite a series of disruptions, the 75th anniversary of the trolleybus was celebrated
In Bishkek, a jubilee event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the trolleybus took place. Despite three threats of cancellation, the organizers successfully held the celebration, as reported by VB.KG. The event faced challenges, including venue cancellations and an unexpected power outage, but the roundtable discussion was conducted without any issues.

Two days before the anniversary, Park Hotel notified of its cancellation, and within a day, B Hotel made a similar decision. A third location canceled just a few hours before the event began. During the celebration, the hotel unexpectedly lost power. The organizers plan to file pre-trial claims against both hotels, insisting on compensation.

Despite all the difficulties, a roundtable discussion on "75 Years of Electric Transport History in Kyrgyzstan: Prospects and Solutions" took place, with a recording available on YouTube.

Participants in the discussion included:

Anastasia Bogatyryova, representative of the UN Human Rights Office, Yegor Muleev, researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Regional Geography (online), Professor Ángel Aparicio, UNDP KR expert on electromobility (online), Ajar Baisalova, representative of the Asian Development Bank, economist Marat Musuraliev with a report on electric buses, Murat Karypov, executive director of "Bir Duyno Kyrgyzstan".

The organizers emphasized the importance of discussing sustainable transport issues in a city where air pollution levels have reached critical limits. They expressed gratitude to all participants and guests, as well as to the trolleybus management staff for their many years of work and contribution to infrastructure development.

The anniversary served as a reminder that the trolleybus was gifted to the city in honor of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and has remained an important part of the transport system for decades. Experts highlighted that the future of environmentally friendly transport is only possible through the collaborative operation of trolleybuses, electric buses, and trams.
