She said: "These materials include photographs of bundles of money and automatic rifles, but this has nothing to do with us. I don't know where they got this from. Everything is mixed up. The authorities themselves announced about dirty games before the elections — and this is exactly what is happening now."
Kyial Toktorbaeva also pointed out that those detained in the case do not know each other. "They don't even know each other. We were there on November 22, and many people were brought there by cars. Perhaps Temirlan knows two or three of them — among them are politicians. This is all made up, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is acting wrongly," she added.
She reminded that last year, three days before the elections to the city council, Temirlan and Kadyrbek were removed from the electoral race, and now, a week before the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, "they have started their games again."
Toktorbaeva emphasized that she and her team were running for election, and that Temirlan and Kadyr would not participate in this. "This is a lie. We were running for election ourselves — me, Temirlan, and Kadyr Atambaev. Our team was arrested," she stated.
According to her, during the searches, their phones, computers, and other devices were confiscated, despite the fact that she herself is a candidate. "We didn't have phones until the evening; everything was seized," Toktorbaeva added.
She also noted that there is a video recording made in the kitchen that lasts about two hours, but only separate fragments have been released to the public. "Let them show the entire recording. This is shameful! I can't understand this. The call cannot be like this. They only showed edited fragments," she concluded.
In conclusion, Toktorbaeva reported that their family is not being granted access to Temirlan Sultanbekov.
Recall that on November 23, law enforcement agencies conducted a series of arrests and searches in connection with a case of possible calls for mass riots. This step was prompted by a video recording involving Temirlan Sultanbekov, after which the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the start of investigative and operational activities.
As part of the investigation, several politicians and former officials were detained or summoned for questioning, including Kadyrbek Atambaev, Shailoobek Atazov, Syimyk Japykeev, Kubanychbek Kadyrov, and others. Searches were also conducted in the homes of politicians and journalists, including former First Lady Raisa Atambaev, relatives of Temirlan Sultanbekov, and the family of journalist Dmitry Lozhnikov.
Later, it became known that some of the detainees, including Temirlan Sultanbekov, Kadyrbek Atambaev, and Shailoobek Atazov, were placed in a temporary detention facility for the selection of a preventive measure, while other participants in the interrogations, such as Adakhan Madumarov and Syimyk Japykeev, were released after speaking with investigators.
