On November 27, the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic made a decision to annul the registration of two candidates for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, representing multi-mandate districts No. 22 and No. 24 — Lyra Akunova and Gulnaz Khalilova.

The candidates submitted their withdrawal from the elections: L. Akunova on November 26 and G. Khalilova on November 27.

According to electoral legislation, the registration of these candidates was canceled based on their statements, which also affected their authorized representatives.

It should be noted that the CEC granted permission for criminal prosecution of candidate Lyra Akunova from district No. 22. Currently, the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek is conducting an investigation on suspicion of bribing voters (part 2 of article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic). It has been established that Akunova's relatives were transferring significant sums of money for the purpose of bribing voters under her control. This decision has already been sent to the Main Department of Internal Affairs and to the candidate herself.

In addition, the CEC considered a request from the Sverdlovsk Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek and also granted consent for the criminal prosecution of Gulnaz Khalilova, a candidate from district No. 24. An investigation is underway against her under part 1 of article 196 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (bribing voters). The investigation has established that Khalilova organized bribery through her election headquarters, entering into fictitious contracts with voters. During searches, funds intended for these purposes were seized.

The CEC granted the petition, and the corresponding decision was sent to the Department of Internal Affairs and to the candidate.
