Abdyjapar Bekmatov, a member of the Central Election Commission, informed media representatives that 461 candidates have been registered for the upcoming elections.
He specified that the system was initially set up for 467 participants.
“After the official registration process was completed, six candidates decided to withdraw from participation. Thus, the final number of election participants is 461. Previously, all candidates were assigned serial numbers through a draw. However, the numbers of those who withdrew will remain unchanged. Their names will be removed, and next to the numbers, a note will appear stating 'registration canceled,'” Bekmatov explained.
We remind you that the early elections for the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will take place on November 30. Candidates will strive to obtain three mandates in each of the 30 districts, which will ultimately lead to the election of 90 deputies.
