On December 12, a ceremonial opening of the office of the honorary consul of Kyrgyzstan took place in the Croatian city of Rijeka. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the new office, located at Vukovarska 10a, will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, developing economic and cultural interactions, as well as providing consular and legal support to citizens of the country.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary, Talantbek Kushchubekov, the honorary consul, Bojan Shikanic, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, the Rijeka City Hall, the administration of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and other invited guests.
During the event, speakers emphasized the importance of opening the consular office for further development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Croatia, activation of interregional relations, and enhancement of interaction between governmental and business structures.
After the official part, a presentation prepared by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary was held, highlighting the natural, tourist, cultural, and economic potential of the country.
