The new office, located at Vukovarska 10a, will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, developing trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian relations, as well as providing consular services to citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
Present at the opening were the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov, the Honorary Consul in Rijeka Bojan Shikanic, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, the administrations of the city of Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and other invited guests.
During the event, distinguished guests spoke, emphasizing the significance of opening the consular office for the further development of Kyrgyz-Croatian relations, the activation of contacts between regions, and the improvement of interaction between governmental and business structures.
After the official part, a presentation about Kyrgyzstan was given, prepared by the embassy in Hungary. It highlighted the natural, tourist, cultural, and economic features of the country. The presentation was accompanied by video materials showcasing the diversity of Kyrgyzstan's nature, elements of national culture, and promising areas for cooperation in trade and culture.
