According to information, the billionaire does not intend to comply with the demands of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to transfer all funds from the sale of the club by March 17.
The Times also reports that Abramovich has assembled a team of lawyers for the legal proceedings, including former Donald Trump advisor Eric Herschmann. He plans to file a lawsuit for approximately £2.5 million.
The proceeds from the sale of Chelsea, amounting to £2.35 billion, as well as accrued interest, have been frozen in Abramovich's company Fordstam Ltd since 2022. In total, the courts of Jersey have frozen over £5.3 billion of the billionaire's assets.
