The Times also reports that Abramovich has assembled a team of lawyers for the legal proceedings, including former Donald Trump advisor Eric Herschmann. He plans to file a lawsuit for approximately £2.5 million.
The proceeds from the sale of Chelsea, amounting to £2.35 billion, as well as accrued interest, have been frozen in Abramovich's company Fordstam Ltd since 2022. In total, the courts of Jersey have frozen over £5.3 billion of the billionaire's assets.
