
Additionally, 12% of respondents supported the idea of a complete ban on alcohol sales.
Among those surveyed, 22% opposed any restrictions, while 30% wondered, "Is there really no other solution besides bans?"
Furthermore, 5% of respondents noted that they did not care.
Health Minister Erkin Checheybaev expressed the opinion that it is necessary to limit the availability of harmful products, such as alcohol and tobacco, as well as regulate their sales hours.
“In developed countries, there are strict rules regarding alcohol sales at night, for example, from 10 PM until morning. During this time, alcohol can only be purchased in restaurants at high prices,” the official noted while commenting on the situation.
According to the Ministry of Health, about 2,500 deaths related to alcohol consumption are recorded annually in Kyrgyzstan.
