Ministry specialists advise parents not only to know their children's whereabouts but also to actively inquire about their social circles and how they spend their free time.
As recommendations for parents, the Ministry suggests:
- regularly discussing their day and social interactions with teenagers;
- maintaining trusting relationships while monitoring them when necessary;
- serving as a personal example of responsible behavior;
- openly discussing the negative consequences of alcohol and drug use, as well as the responsibility for violations.
The police also called on educators and society to pay more attention to the issues of safe leisure for teenagers and to assist them in making reasonable decisions.
