In 2025, the State Customs Service, specifically the Main Department for Combating Smuggling, achieved historic results in increasing budget revenues. The agency's press service reports that the total amount of refunded and transferred funds reached 1.5 billion soms, which exceeds the figures for 2024 by 603 million soms and is the highest result in the history of the department.
This success was made possible by the increased effectiveness of detecting violations in customs legislation. From January to December 2025, 9,604 violations were registered, of which 9,100 were administrative and 504 were criminal. Materials related to criminal cases were forwarded to the Investigative Department of the Customs Service.
As a result of the consideration of cases, the state was reimbursed more than 1.1 billion soms in damages. Additionally, vehicles and other valuables, including precious metals, worth over 326 million soms were transferred to the state treasury.
Currently, the Main Department for Combating Smuggling continues to implement measures aimed at preventing offenses, reducing the risks of illegal movement of goods, and protecting the economic interests of the country.
