Obligations for Product Labeling
The Tax Service reminds that since July 1, 2021, mandatory labeling of alcohol and tobacco using identification means has been introduced in the country. In the "Product Labeling" system, 12 tobacco importers, 34 manufacturers, and 96 alcohol product importers are registered.
In the 11 months of 2025, 223.7 million labeling codes were issued, of which the largest portion was for tobacco products (157.2 million) and alcohol (42.6 million).
Additionally, labeling codes were issued for light industry goods (23.7 million), footwear (167.9 million), and perfumery (3.3 thousand).
