In the Issyk-Kul region, 21 people were detained in one day for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to information from the Traffic Safety Department of the regional police, there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists in Karakol during the winter tourist season, which, in turn, has increased traffic intensity. To prevent traffic accidents, raids called "Behind the Wheel" are being conducted in the region.

These raids involve the head of the traffic safety department, police major Uzakbek Shergaziev, who conducts explanatory conversations with drivers.

Inspectors remind that adherence to traffic rules, as well as caring for one's own safety and the safety of other road users, is the responsibility of every driver.

In addition to cases of driving while intoxicated, other violations were recorded during the raids, such as speeding, failure to use seat belts, and driving in the opposite lane. Preventive warnings were issued for these violations, and 52 vehicles were sent to the impound lot.

According to the Traffic Safety Department, similar traffic control activities will continue until the end of the winter season. Drivers are strongly advised to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, check the technical condition of their vehicles before long trips, and strictly follow traffic signs.
