The journalist emphasized that the representatives of the agency showed interest in his work and even admitted that they follow his broadcasts. "When they said, 'We appreciate your work as a journalist,' I was a bit surprised. I asked what exactly they wanted, and heard in response: 'Stability,'" Kyazov added.
Surprised that their goals aligned, he tried to lighten the mood with jokes, which brought smiles to his interlocutors. However, soon he was overcome with anxiety: "I became curious whether these well-meaning people would eventually 'pull' my tongue out, like what happens to children at the dentist," he shared his thoughts.
The meeting lasted about an hour and a half, and during it, Kyazov concluded that he should do even more to promote stability in the region.
At the end of the conversation, the journalist noted that he was invited to reach out to them if necessary and they escorted him out of the building.
It is worth mentioning that Kyazov's latest podcast with former head of the GSBEP Syimyk Zhapikeev caused a significant resonance in Kyrgyz society. During the discussion, topics of mankurts and the creativity of Aitmatov were addressed. Zhapikeev expressed the opinion that the writer's works are "five-kopek stories" that do not inspire much.
He noted: "I haven't read the story about the mankurt, but it's not such a significant plot. There are writers who create amazing things. His stories, for example, about the first teacher or about the collective farm, are just five-kopek stories. After watching a movie with Bruce Lee, you want to repeat his tricks, to become just like him," Zhapikeev said.
These statements sparked active discussion, and deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva, as well as the Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan, called for a legal assessment of his words.
