The fashion event called Marjan de la mode took place in Bishkek, gathering professionals from the fields of fashion, beauty, and creative industries. The event was attended by stylists, designers, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and fashion enthusiasts from various spheres — from show business to education.
The main speaker of the evening, Lilia Rah — a well-known international stylist and host of the program "Fashion Sentence," shared her story with the audience, as well as her vision for the future of fashion culture in Central Asia.
Lilia noted that her perception of beauty and style was shaped in childhood thanks to her mother.
“My mom always sewed clothes for me, trying to make me look stylish. She instilled discipline in me and constantly said: ‘Get up — go, do it.’ This helped me a lot in the future. Even the way she decorated the house — tablecloths, linens, and lace details — all influenced my taste and professional development,” she shared.
Lilia Rah also shared her journey — from living in a village to working with prestigious fashion houses in Paris. She emphasized that fashion should become more conscious and intellectual.

Lilia also noted that the development of the fashion industry in the region is important for the identity and international image of the country.
“Fashion culture is a reflection of our country. Supporting talented designers is an investment in our culture and the image of the state,” she stated.The expert highlighted the need for systematic education in the field of style and aesthetics:
“It is necessary to introduce lessons on style and aesthetics, develop fashion schools, and cultivate taste from an early age,” she added.
In her opinion, to create recognizable fashion figures in Central Asia, it is important to combine elements of national culture with global trends.
Additionally, Sultan Tukeshov, president of the Kyrgyz Society of Plastic Surgery, spoke at the event, discussing the latest trends in aesthetic medicine.
Guests were presented with a fashion collection from brands Dilbar, Luxury, Promond, and other luxury labels. The event program also included:
- a raffle for a blepharoplasty procedure;
- six trips to Turkey;
- a showcase of live fashion looks;
- musical accompaniment and welcome drinks;
- a gourmet buffet;
- gifts from event partners.
The goal of Marjan de la mode is to support and develop the fashion community of Kyrgyzstan, create a platform for experience exchange, and integrate the local fashion industry into the international context.
