The first Fashion Hub in Kyrgyzstan was opened in Bishkek — a space that brings together local brands, designers, and wholesale clients.
Jasur Parpiev, the marketing director of Fashion Mall, emphasized that the initiative is aimed at supporting young designers and developing the local fashion industry:

“We have gathered young Kyrgyz designers and created a platform for them to integrate into the sewing industry. Our goal is to create a hub for tailors that will not only focus on foreign brands but will also develop its own. Currently, around 100 companies, as well as 200 showrooms and domestic brands, are participating in this project.
We strive for entrepreneurs from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and other countries to be able to place orders in professional conditions, rather than in markets. I attended a training session with the well-known brand Zara in the USA: they change their country of production every three years. If we create the necessary conditions, Kyrgyzstan could become one of their choices.

Today, many sewing enterprises lack financial resources and product certification. Increased support from the government will help us become a “little Italy.” Uzbekistan demonstrates that with the right policies, the sewing industry can develop rapidly. About a million people are already employed in our sector. The closure of many workshops occurred due to the informal work of entrepreneurs during the border closures, when the financial cushion lasted only a month. Therefore, it is important for businesses to operate openly, and the government is already working on creating the appropriate conditions,” Parpiev added.
