
The grand opening of the "COFFEE FEST KG" festival took place in Bishkek, bringing together coffee industry enthusiasts and professionals. The mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, also attended the event and emphasized the importance of coffee for the economy.
According to him, "coffee culture has long become a part of the daily life of city residents: every morning, thousands of people take to the streets with a cup of coffee. What seemed exotic just 15-20 years ago has now become an integral part of our urban culture."
According to official information, there are currently over 280 coffee shops operating in Bishkek, which indicates the growing popularity of this industry and its role in the hospitality sector of the capital, the mayor added.
As part of the festival, the following were organized:
Master classes and lectures conducted by experts, focusing on roasting, brewing, service, and modern trends in coffee.An exhibition featuring producers, roasters, as well as equipment and accessory suppliers.Barista competitions and demonstrations of new professional equipment.A tasting area where participants could try unique coffee varieties and signature drinks.Prize draws for valuable prizes, including smartphones, in which everyone was welcome to participate.
