Arypbek Aitbaev from the "Bir Bol" faction inquired about the sources of funding for the growth of the city budget, which is expected to reach nearly 3.5 billion soms by 2025. In response, Omorbek Torobaev, the first deputy mayor, explained the reasons for the increase, which are related to the rise in revenues from income tax and other sources.
The deputy also raised the issue of debts owed to local school teachers, noting that previously teachers received 1800 soms every six months as compensation for utilities, but these payments were halted last year.
Torobaev confirmed that the payments had indeed been stopped, as teachers' salaries had been significantly increased at the state level, noting that resuming these payments would require 16 million soms.
He also suggested that the increase in teachers' incomes might have been the reason for the suspension of these payments.
In addition to financial matters, the deputies discussed the legitimacy of the appointment of deputy mayors. Hulkar Isamova from the "Jaanu Kyrgyzstan" faction addressed the mayor with a question about whether his deputies are part of the personnel reserve.
Mayor Janar Akayev assured the deputies that all his deputies had undergone the necessary procedures and are in the personnel reserve, which complies with labor legislation.
