The head of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, in his recent address during the Nowruz celebration in Naryn, noted that the completion of the railway line between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan will provide the region with new opportunities in transit and significantly increase its international significance.
“This will not only enhance the logistics and economic potential of the Naryn region but also of the entire country as a whole. With the launch of the project, the delivery time for goods will be significantly reduced, creating broad prospects for entering new markets. Previously, we were a country in a transport deadlock, but with the completion of this railway, we will be able to become an important transit hub between Europe and China. The launch of the highway is expected to take place around 2030,” the president said.
The president also emphasized the need to develop infrastructure and create trade and logistics centers along the railway route to integrate the local economy.
“The construction of an internal railway connecting the north and south of the country has already progressed to Kochkor. In the future, we plan to extend it to Kara-Keche and then to Makmal, which will fully connect the north and south by rail. This infrastructure development will strengthen internal connections and have a positive impact on the growth of industrial production, agriculture, and tourism in the region. Thus, we are confident that the strategic region of Tenir-Tuu has a bright future ahead,” added Sadyr Japarov.
