- The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, reported his participation in a meeting of the commanders of the armies of the "coalition of the willing," where, among other things, the issue of security in Kyiv was raised.
- The project to build a munitions factory by Rheinmetall in Ukraine has still not been realized. Over the past 2.5 years, work has not begun, as reported by Defense Express. The expected opening date of the facility, originally planned for the summer of 2026, has now been pushed to 2027.
- On the night of January 18, Russian troops struck Kharkiv and its region using aerial bombs, missile systems, and drones. As a result of the attack on a private house in Kharkiv, a 20-year-old woman was killed. Similar strikes were also recorded in the Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv on January 18.

In the village of Golovchino, a drone also attacked a car in a parking lot, injuring one person.
- On the night of Sunday, January 18, Ukrainian drones launched an attack on North Ossetia. In Beslan, debris from one of the downed drones fell on the roof of a residential building, injuring three people, including two children.
