- U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff reported on social media X about significant progress made during a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in Berlin. Further negotiations are scheduled for Monday.
- On his way to Berlin, Zelensky commented on the unfairness of a proposal that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should relinquish part of the territory they control in Donbas.
- Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported the downing of 15 drones heading towards the Russian capital.
- Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional administration, reported 11 casualties as a result of Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia.
- The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on December 14, from 16:00 to 20:00, 56 Ukrainian drones were shot down over eight regions, and from 20:00 to 23:00, 71 drones were downed over six regions.
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a power station in Belgorod, leading to power outages in some parts of the city.
- Foreign ministers of EU countries will discuss assistance to Ukraine and new sanctions against Russia on Monday at their final meeting of the year in Brussels.
