- Sixteen Nobel Prize laureates appealed on Monday to the leaders of the USA, Russia, Ukraine, and European states, urging an immediate ceasefire and the release of civilian prisoners from the jails of both countries.

- Five people have been detained in the Republic of South Africa on suspicion of mercenarism and recruitment for the Russian army in the context of the war against Ukraine.
