According to Rodriguez, the Cuban people, receiving support from the international community, have come to the conclusion that the current state of relations with the US government represents a regrettable and unforeseen threat.
In his address on social media platform X, the minister characterized US policy as anti-Cuban and neo-fascist, adding that Washington's actions threaten not only Cuba's national security but also the security of all countries, as well as "the survival of humanity in the face of nuclear threats and climate change."
It is worth noting that on January 30, US President Donald Trump announced the declaration of a state of emergency in response to the threat to national security posed by Cuba, which opens the possibility for the imposition of additional tariffs on oil coming to Cuba from other countries.
