Snowfall and ice were the cause of a major accident in Japan, resulting in a collision involving 57 vehicles. Two people died, and another 26 were injured. This was reported by NHK.
The road incident occurred in Gunma Prefecture on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, where a massive traffic jam formed due to the collision of several vehicles.

It all started with an accident involving two trucks, after which a fire broke out, destroying more than ten vehicles.

The incident happened on Friday evening in the Minakami area. Firefighters took about seven and a half hours to completely extinguish the fire.
