In response to the attack, Iran launched a ballistic missile at the Israeli city of Arad. According to local news agencies, the missile hit a residential building, causing a collapse, and people may be trapped under the rubble. Information about the injured is currently being clarified, with preliminary reports indicating 88 casualties.
Tehran stated that the attack on southern areas of Israel, where the nuclear reactor and nuclear research center are located, is a retaliatory measure for the strike on the Iranian facility in Natanz.
