The IAEA reported that the entrance structures at the plant were damaged as a result of airstrikes. "Based on new satellite data, the IAEA has confirmed recent damage to the entrance structures above the underground plant in Natanz," the statement said.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi had previously reported on his attempts to restore contacts with the Iranian nuclear regulator, but these efforts have been unsuccessful. He also noted that radiation levels in neighboring countries do not exceed normal limits.

According to Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Reza Najafi, Iran has become a victim of an attack on its nuclear facilities, stating: "Yesterday, there was again an attack on Iran's peaceful, protected nuclear facilities." Despite this, the IAEA initially did not record any signs of strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

The conflict between Israel, the US, and Iran began on February 28, when multiple air and missile strikes were carried out on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israeli and American military bases in several Middle Eastern countries. The first hours of the attack resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian officials and military personnel. Shortly after the operation began, US President Donald Trump announced the start of a military campaign called "Epic Fury."

As a result of the attacks, the Supreme Leader of the country, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as about ten high-ranking officials from Tehran, were killed.

The escalation of tensions in the region continues.
