The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is monitoring the situation at the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. This was reported on the official CSTO website.
The organization emphasizes its support for peace and stability in the region, highlighting the necessity of a political and diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict.
Recently, information emerged in Islamabad that Taliban fighters opened fire at the border with Pakistan, prompting a corresponding response from Pakistani security forces.
In response to recent airstrikes conducted by Islamabad on February 22 in border areas of Afghanistan, Afghan command announced its strikes on Pakistani territory. According to statements from Pakistani officials, at least 70 members of armed groups were killed as a result of the attacks. However, Kabul denied this information, claiming that dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed in the airstrikes.
It is worth noting that the length of the Afghan-Pakistani border is 2,600 kilometers.
