According to Flightradar, there are currently no airplanes over Venezuela, as the country's airspace is completely closed.
According to local media reports, the U.S. Air Force conducted a series of airstrikes on military bases in Venezuela. Among the targeted sites were the airbase of Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda, as well as the Fort Tiuna base and other military installations.

In response, Su-30MKV fighters of the Venezuelan Air Force were scrambled to intercept American planes and helicopters.

These events are unfolding against the backdrop of threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, who previously announced the deployment of a naval group in the Caribbean and did not rule out the possibility of a strike on Venezuela.

On Saturday night, as reported by several sources, loud explosions occurred in Caracas, which were confirmed by international news agencies reporting on airstrikes.

In early September 2025, the American president sent eight military ships to the southern part of the Caribbean, emphasizing the need to combat drug trafficking. The President of Venezuela characterized these actions as a "hostile siege" and appealed to the UN for assistance in protecting territorial integrity. In response, Trump announced the sinking of a Venezuelan drug boat and ordered the cessation of all diplomatic relations with Venezuela, adding that the U.S. would continue the fight against drug traffickers without Congressional approval.
