The Bishkek City Hall has refuted recent accusations made by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Ulukbek Karybek uulu, who claimed that information about schools in the "Ak-Jar" and "Ak-Bata" districts was distorted.

In response to statements made during the parliamentary session on January 26, city hall representatives stated that the deputy's claims mislead both the public and the media. The city hall clarified that, upon the deputy's official request, it provided complete information about the planned activities for 2024–2025 for the Sverdlovsk district, as well as data on project documentation, funding sources, and implementation timelines.

Additionally, there is already a functioning school in "Ak-Bata" with a capacity of 620 places, where 1,735 students are currently studying in 48 classes, with classes being held in two shifts. However, 260 students from grades 5–6 are temporarily studying in an old building.

Regarding the "Ak-Jar" area, the city hall noted that this district was formed as a result of land seizures, and there are currently no available plots for a new school. City authorities are working on various solutions to this problem, but construction outside of Bishkek is limited by legislation.

It was also mentioned that during a meeting on January 23 between Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and residents of "Ak-Bata," the possibility of constructing a school in the Alamudun district was discussed, but the municipality does not have the authority for this.

Earlier, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Ulukbek Karybek uulu stated that there is a serious shortage of schools in Bishkek, noting that around 15,000 people live in the new "Ak-Jar" area, and children have to travel to the city for their education. He also emphasized that the existing school in "Ak-Bata," designed for 600 students, does not meet the needs of the district.

During the same session, Deputy Minister of Construction Samat Janteliyev pointed out the overcrowding in the capital's schools. In the Sverdlovsk district, where the designed capacity is 29,700 places, more than 66,700 children are studying, and to address the problem, the construction of an additional 15 schools is necessary.

The city hall noted that the issue of the shortage of educational institutions is well-known and actively discussed, but they consider the accusations of deliberate deception by the city authorities to be unfounded.
